The visit of Pope Francis to Romania is scheduled to take place from 31th of May to 2nd of June. Under the motto “Let’s walk together”, Pope Francis will visit Bucharest, Iași, Blaj and Marian Shrine of Sumuleu Ciuc in Transylvania.

The visit in Bucharest is planned for 31st of May and Pope Francis will meet the President of Romania and also attend a service in the new Orthodox Cathedral.

During the visit, traffic restrictions are imposed by the authorities, especially on the route from the airport to the city center, in Piata Unirii because of the visit to the Romanian Patriarchy, next to the Cotroceni Palace and also near Sf. Iosif Cathedral. The square in front of the Romanian Atheneum will be closed on May 31st. It is an area dedicated to pilgrims.

Due to this, our tour The Royal Century will not take place on May 31st. We are sorry for this but you can still join us on May 30 or on June 1st.
