Free Communist Tour Bucharest
Free walking tour
What's all about?
Travel back in time to the “Golden Age” of Romania and discover the rise and fall of the Communist Regime, stories of daily life, prisons and tortures and also the good “heritage”.
In 2019 Romania celebrates 30 years since the fall of the communism. This is the reason that we started Free Communist Tour in Bucharest. We have to remember what this regime did to us so we do not repeat the same mistakes.
The starting point is in the Revolution Square (named after the Revolution in ’89) in front of the former Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party, the place where Ceaușescu fled by helicopter on 22nd of December 1989.
English: Saturday & Sunday at 10.30
